1５日（水）、開催場所となる菅平高原を実踏（下見）してまいりました。会場となる宿舎のフロントには飛沫防止のボードが置かれています。カウンター後ろには松岡修造さんの色紙が飾ってありました。
この宿舎がテニス合宿に力を入れていることがわかります。菅平というとラグビー、陸上の合宿地として全国的に有名ですが、それだけではありません。高校・大学の多くのスポーツ・文化部の合宿地として、また大学の施設も数多くあり、学生を見守ってきた長い歴史があります。単なる観光地ではありません。
また、「サファイアの研修プログラム」は教育プログラムであり、大切な長期休暇（今年は例年より短くなってしまう学校が多いようですが）に学校行事ではできない特色あるプログラムをご提供してきました。2020年の夏は一度だけです。返ってきません。不要不急の旅行とは一線を画しています。
ただ新型コロナ感染症が現在拡大中にあることは事実です。このような観点から、私たちが求める宿舎、施設、プログラムについては慎重にかつ的確に検討し、決定いたします。

Sugadaira Highlands is nationwide famous for rugby and onshore training camps, but it is not the only one. As a training camp for many sports and cultural activities in high schools and universities, and also with many university facilities, it has a long history of watching over students. In addition, the “Sapphire Training Program” is an educational program, and we have provided special programs that are not possible at school events for important long holidays (at most schools, holidays seem to be much shorter than usual year).
