Marking our 10th anniversary and moving into a new phase
Building on the past decade, we look ahead to the next ten years.
The Sapphire Youth Global Exchange Centre, a general incorporated association, marked its 10th anniversary in April 2026 and is now entering its 11th year.
Over the past decade, we have continued our efforts to broaden the horizons of learning, with a focus on international exchange and educational activities for young people.
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported the Centre’s activities to date.
Now, as we enter our 11th year, the Centre is utilising the experience we have cultivated and our domestic and international networks to revitalise our organisational structure and enhance our programme offerings.

Regarding the New Organisational Structure
We are pleased to welcome Professor Kiichi Yoshida of Kobe City University of Foreign Studies as our new Centre Director.
Furthermore, Kazuko Noguchi has stepped down as Representative Director, and Shin Shirabashi has assumed the role.
Furthermore, Yusuke Morita, who is fluent in English and Spanish and achieved second place in the national tennis championships whilst at secondary school, has joined us.
At the same time, we have relocated our offices and are working to establish a new working environment.
These organisational and operational reforms will be implemented in stages until March 2027.

New Initiatives
1. Expansion of the Short-Term Study Abroad and School Exchange Programme in Australia
We will expand our short-term study abroad programme in Australia for junior and senior high school students—which has previously been held mainly during the summer—to include the spring term as well.
Through school life at local institutions and homestays, we will provide opportunities to foster not only language skills but also cross-cultural understanding, independence and an international outlook.
2. Launch of a Support Programme for Entry to US Community Colleges
We are launching a support programme for entry to US community colleges for students who wish to continue playing tennis or golf after leaving secondary school whilst balancing their academic studies with their sporting commitments.
We aim to provide comprehensive support, ranging from English language tuition for admission to the selection of a suitable college, and extending to university transfer and future career prospects.
3. Development of International Education Programmes for Universities
We will be introducing the following two programmes to university staff and stakeholders:
• The ‘2+2 International Semiconductor Talent Development Programme’, in partnership with universities in Taiwan
• The ‘Global Communication Skills Course’, which fosters the ability to express oneself effectively and promote mutual understanding in the international community By combining specialised academic study with international communication skills, we aim to contribute to the development of the next generation of leaders.
4. Launch of Original English Learning Materials
We will now be offering the English learning materials currently used in our online classes as a new learning resource combining digital and printed versions.
Our aim is to create an environment where learners can study English at their own pace and deepen their understanding, free from the constraints of time and place.

Unchanging Philosophy, New Challenges
We will retain our corporate name and logo as before, and our website will continue to be accessible via the existing URL.
Although the structure of our organisation and our business operations may change, our commitment to connecting people and the world through learning, and to expanding the potential of each individual, remains unchanged.
With gratitude for the past ten years.
And with renewed hope for the next ten years.
We look forward to your continued understanding and support for the activities of the Sapphire Youth Global Exchange Centre, a General Incorporated Association.
